GoDaddy is offering their SMB customers assistance during the current crisis with a low cost plan that includes Ad Credits and Offers, aimed at helping SMBs get more customers during times of slow business. They have also put together a series of documentation including COVID-19 resources to help clients stay open along with a blog post “Helping your clients adapt & stay open during uncertain times,” with actionable guidance from the web designer and developer community that covers topics including communication strategies, financial realities in this time, and preparing for the future.
Fanatics, which normally manufactures uniforms for Major League Baseball, has suspended production on jerseys and is instead using the polyester mesh fabric to make masks and gowns for hospitals. Their factories are producing over 10,000 masks and gowns a day to help keep people safe during the pandemic.
SmileDirectClub is using its 3D printers to help fight the coronavirus pandemic. It has opened its facilities up to partner with medical supply companies and health organizations to increase production of supplies to fight COVID-19. Some supplies that can be 3D printed include medical face shields, respirator valves or other supplies.

Staples will provide free delivery on all orders and no minimum order size requirement during this time. Staples is also offering a series of complimentary Print & Marketing services to help support individuals and businesses. Many locations are offering student assistance such as free printing in-store. To assist with the virtual learning environment, students will be able to print materials at nearby staples stores until school is back in regular session.
Grubhub launched an Economic Relief Effort up to $100 Million for independent restaurants and delivery partners impacted by COVID-19. Grubhub’s initiative will provide immediate and substantial cash flow relief to qualified independent restaurants. It has also created a fund that will enable proceeds from its Donate the Change program to go toward charitable organizations that support restaurants and drivers impacted by the COVID-19 health crisis. The program will allow diners to round up the change from every order and donate it to the Grubhub Community Relief Fund — with donations matched by the company.
Yelp announced it’s Relief for Affected Businesses program, pledging $25 million primarily focused on supporting independent local restaurant and nightlife businesses. The program includes waived advertising fees, free access to Yelp page upgrades, free access to yelp reservations, free search advertising, and free access to other yelp products and services. Wells Fargo has suspended residential property foreclosure sales, evictions and involuntary auto repossessions to assist communities grappling with the impact of COVID-19. Additionally, the Wells Fargo Foundation will increase its charitable donations to $175 million to help address food, shelter, small business and housing stability, as well as to provide help to public health organizations.
Many major streaming and tech companies, including SiriusXM and Pandora, have donated to MusiCares’ relief fund for music workers whose livelihoods have been impacted by the coronavirus crisis. The funds will go directly to music professionals who lost income due to coronavirus-related gig cancellations, from artists to technicians and production crew members and currently has over $4Million in total.
Thousands of food service workers have been displaced during the Coronavirus crisis. Blue Apron, Pizza Hut, and Dominos have all announced they are hiring.
Blue Apron is offering hourly positions for displaced food service workers in NJ and California. Positions available in fulfillment centers on either a temporary or permanent basis to pack meal kits. They are hiring positions in Linden, NJ and Richmond, CA fulfillment centers – no experience is necessary, full training is provided.
Pizza Hut is recruiting more than 30,000 employees worldwide, and Domino’s plans to hire 10,000 employees to work as pizza makers, delivery personnel and customer service representatives. Domino’s is also looking for people to fill roles at its supply chain centers in addition to management and assistant management positions.
